FAS Science & Security Summit 2017

In a political climate where the validity of facts is constantly challenged, nonpartisan and evidence-based research is more vital than ever before.

Where are scientists' and engineers' places in the current political landscape? What are the roles of scientists and engineers in global security and safety? How can scientists and engineers keep us safe?

Join us on April 21 to grapple with these questions.

The day's speakers include three senior scientists and engineers, and three distinguished graduate students:

DR. JOHN HOLDREN
Former Advisor of Science & Technology to President Obama

DR. RICHARD MESERVE
President Emeritus, Carnegie Institution for Science

DR. RODNEY WILSON
Director, Global Security and Cooperation Center at Sandia National Laboratories

HANNAH E. GARDINER
Ph.D. Student, Nuclear Engineering Sciences, University of Florida

STEPHEN O. A. DAHUNSI

YANUAR ADY SETIAWAN
