MoCo JUFJ Racial Justice Discussion & Book Group

Please join JUFJ in Montgomery County for the first meeting of a new racial justice discussion and book group.

Thursday, February 9 | 7:00 - 8:30 PM

at the Regional Services Center-B-CC
4805 Edgemoor Lane | Bethesda, MD 20814

This group is open to anyone (mature teens and adults) interested in exploring racial justice issues with an emphasis on unconscious bias. While this discussion will have a Jewish framework, anyone of any background is welcome to participate.

At our first meeting we will lay the groundwork for future meetings and begin discussing the first section (chapters 1-5) of Waking Up White by Debby Irving. Purchase a copy from your favorite local bookstore, or find it at your local library.

The group will be facilitated by Fran Zamore, MSW and Madeleine Levin. In future, it will meet on the second Thursday of each month.

We look forward to seeing you and hope you will bring a friend. Please be in touch with any questions: laura@jufj.org
